Statement
Given at the SOME candidate debate - Engineers without borders - Nov 23, 2006
I want to thank the organizers so much for inviting me to this debate. I really do appriciate it.
Greetings, my name is Steve Hunter, the Progressive Canadian candidate. The PC Party belives in the 0.7% pledge of our GDP and fast action on poverty reduction in Canada and abroad.
We also belive in democracy and integrity. I was told this was an ALL candidates debate and it is not that. I believe in democracy, so I must respectfully decline to participate.
It is very hard work to get up and become a candidate. It is not at all easy. It is regretful that all candidates cannot be included.
Integrity is not just a word. It saddens me to do this, but I will not just talk the talk. I will walk the walk.
We have worked very hard to get to this position and we will work harder to get everyone to this position.
Thanks
